HARARE - A Goromonzi man has walked away with a brand new Fiat 500 that was up for grabs in the Associated Newspapers of Zimbabwe (ANZ)’s Read and Win promotion.

ANZ is the publisher of Daily News, Daily News on Sunday and the Weekend Post.

The competition’s grand draw, held on Wednesday, was observed and verified by Grant Thornton Camelsa Chartered Accountants.

Muchineripi Rusike of Rusike School in Goromonzi won the grand prize of the Fiat 500 vehicle.

Two people -— Emmanual Mufara and Charles Kapfupi — were drawn twice and this was allowed to go because the competition rules actually encouraged readers to make as many entries as possible.

Patrick Chingoruvo, Benard Mudyara and Kapfupi, all from Harare,  won the Rainbow Towers holiday vouchers.
The G-Tel smartphone was scooped by Emmanuel Mafara of Glen View 8, while the washing machines were won by Kapfupi and Felix Chari.

Two 100-litre solar geysers were won by Mufara and Willard Nyabadza.

Sharon Samushonga, ANZ chief operations officer, said she was ecstatic that the grand prize went to Goromonzi, attesting that ANZ’s coverage was national.

“This is an indication that people out of Harare are receiving our newspapers and we are happy with it. We hope that the support will continue to grow,” Samushonga said.

The competition was successfully sponsored by Rainbow Tourism Group, Zimoco, The Pointe Restaurant, G-Tel, Midea Home Appliances, Braidsfield Hair Salon, Adriennes Restaurant, Sunpower Green Energy and Simba.
