HARARE - Lucky Gomwe, 40, is appealing for assistance to undergo an operation in China to remove a growth on his spinal cord.
He requires a total of $30 000 for the operation and for logistics.
Gomwe has been bed-ridden since July last year.
Any movement causes him excruciating pain.
Gomwe said, “My whole body is aching and I have lost appetite. I am failing to eat and I become weak. I am appealing for assistance so that I can be able to walk and fend for my family.”
He lives with his wife, child, his brother and sister in a small cottage in Southerton, Harare. No one is formally employed in the household. His brother sells airtime and his sister plaits braids for a living.
“We are suffering and we cannot make ends meet,” said Gomwe’s sister, Shylet.
“It is difficult with a brother who is not feeling well. We are at a loss on what to do, but we hope well-wishers will donate towards his operation in China.”
Well-wishers can donate to a Barclays Account Number 1118521 or send money via EcoCash to 0772 931157 or 0773 986003. Gomwe resides at House No. 67 Fleming Road, Southerton, Harare.
