So is this liberty?

EDITOR — I do not have the words to describe my sorrow at the death of those 22 Zimbabweans in that mine shaft in Roodepoort, South Africa.

And I do not have the words to describe some of our callous hardened, selfish, greedy, power hungry politicians and also  other politicians in South Africa.

If there was even a shred of Godly governance and an iota of caring leadership in either country, those young and desperate Zimbabweans, working in our neighbouring country and desperate to earn a living, would not be dead.

How dare they call themselves liberators; this side of Beitbridge or South of it.

I do not decry Bona a wedding or even a nice wedding and she made a lovely bride but the occasion was spoiled by the rampant waste of money, pomp and ceremony in a nation that has suffered.

It was in extremely bad taste to hold such a lavish affair in the midst of such poverty, ruin and destruction.

For me Zanu PF  have tainted the whole truth and honour around the war of liberation and turned it into a destructive weapon that they wield over a shattered and desperate people; their own people and the very people that they claim to have liberated. What hypocrisy!

Surely, God has a special judgment for those who trample on the heads of the poor.

The February 21st Movement would do well to honour their leader in a more constructive way by donating  those obscene amounts of money used every year for a birthday bash to a very needy orphanage, old age home or hospital. Even a school would do.

They do love to rub our noses in our suffering do they not?

The Bible warns us not to become slaves of men in the Book of 1 Corinthians.
