HARARE - Mavis Gumbo and Miriam Sibanda have emerged as the only two candidates for the Zimbabwe National Women’s Soccer League chairperson post ahead of elections set for this weekend.

Sibanda is the boss of a Division One side Twalumba FC while Gumbo is the current boss for the Women’s league.

Sibanda, who fancies her chances of winning the election, launched her campaign in Bulawayo last month where she met representatives from the province.

Elizabeth Langa, who is seeking re-election as the vice-chairperson as well as club representative from Bulawayo, will battle it out with Cecilia Mudzana.

Rosemary Kanonge leads the cast of seven candidates who are seeking the position of board member for the Women’s league.

The other candidates are Tsitsi Muzuva, Felistas Tongogara, Benny Mamoche, Trust Kwembeya, Edwin Magoswongwe and Cecilia Gambe.
