HARARE - Gospel artiste Life “Lifechanging” Nechavava has collaborated with Zimpraise vocalist, Primrose Njewa on a single titled Makomborero.
The single, which fuses different gospel music styles, was produced by popular producer McDonald ‘McDee’ Chidavaenzi.
The 27-year-old Nechavava, whose decade-long gospel music career has brought about a number of hit singles that have generated reasonable air play on radio, is excited by the innovative single.
“The song talks about blessings of God in our lives. It is a fusion of different gospel genres which we blended together with the help of our producer McDee,” said the Alpha and Omega singer.
“We want people to know that the real blessings are not earthly riches. The blessings I am talking about are the blessing of Abraham hence the title Makomborero. One thing that I know is that your life will be changed after listening to the song.”
The promising single comes on the back of the nine-track album Ndiye Ega and the sleek video Alpha and Omega that the upcoming gospel star released last year.
Nechavava is delighted to have teamed up with the talented Njewa whose vocal prowess was showcased on the Zimpraise Choir hit called Sungano. “She is a talented singer and it was quite an honour to have teamed up with her on the song of course with the help of our producer McDee,” he said.
Nechavava, an information technology consultant by profession who also attended a Bible school, told the Daily News that he is able to juggle between his job and music due to his high level of discipline.
“Without discipline and hard work it will be difficult to achieve anything worthwhile,” he said.
In his 10-year career, Nechavava has collaborated with prominent gospel musicians like Pastor G, Thembalami and Pride Priestly.
The energetic singer has also shared the stage with several illustrious international artistes including Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Deitrick Haddon and Juanita Bynum.
