KADOMA - Black Rhinos won the battle of the armed forces when they beat visiting Buffaloes 1-0 in Castle Premiership match here yesterday.

A Lincoln Saramaya strike in the 79th min was enough for Rhinos to collect maximum points to end a five match winless streak.

Rhinos could have taken a first half lead when they were awarded a penalty in the 29th minute by referee Darlington Shoniwa after Saramaya was brought down by Buffaloes defender Liberty Chakaroma inside the box.

However, Buffaloes keeper Blessing Mandimutsira was up to the task as he saved Brian Muzondiwa’s spot kick.

In the post match interview Buffalo coach Luke Masomere blamed his charges for missing glorious chances.

"We created more chances than Rhinos but the body language was not up to scratch and it shows that we are not up there," bemoaned Masomere.

Rhinos coach Arthur Tutani, who had his decision to quit after the loss to Harare City two weeks ago overturned, was happy with the win

“I am happy with the three points and I am warning FC Platinum to brace for tough time next week."
