JOHANNESBURG - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Khama Billiat remains sidelined with a metatarsal fracture which has seen him miss the club’s pre-season preparations.
Billiat, who still has a cast on his left foot and is using crutches, is only expected back at training next month.
The Zimbabwean suffered the injury in February and then aggravated it in April forcing him to miss the remainder of last season.
Sundowns have now decided to take no risks and make sure that the injury heals completely before the tricky midfielder returns to action.
Downs spokesman Thulani Thuswa confirms that the 23-year-old will remove the plaster within the next two weeks but is doing gym work at the moment as part of his rehabilitation. – KickOff.com
