HARARE - One-year-old Jonathan Sahanya has a rare and severe heart disease which needs urgent attention.
His mother passed away recently and the father, Samuel Sahanya, cannot afford the money needed for a major operation to help the boy. Up to $4 000 is needed for the operation.
Jonathan is diagnosed with the following:
- Hypospadias
- Undescending bi-lateral testicles
- Delayed milestones
- Hydrocephalic
- Cardiovascular problem.
Due to these problems, young Jonathan can neither flip nor sit and the situation could worsen as he may suffer severe heart attacks.
Doctors say an urgent operation is needed to normalise the boy’s situation. The parents are kindly requesting for help either in cash or a feasible plan that can help Jonathan to be freed from the problems he is facing.
Touched by Jonathan’s plight, the Daily News Group Editor, Stanley Gama, has set the ball rolling by personally donating $300 towards the worthy cause.
