HARARE - United States of America-based gospel artiste Comfort Manyame will hold a free concert at New Life Covenant tomorrow night that will feature Pastor G and Pastor Prince Mafukidze.

The free concert will feature Celebration Church worship leader Janet Manyowa who collaborated with Manyame on the hit song Amazing God. The song has been on the StarFM gospel greats for more than 25 weeks and was number 1 on ZiFM Top Ten for several weeks.

Manyame, who is currently in Zimbabwe for the concert which has been dubbed “Worship Night,” told the Daily News that he is looking forward to the rare concert.

“For many years we have held Christian concerts that have blessed many people, however, the majority of times, these were not free events,” said the gospel artiste who recently released a rendition of the late Brian Sibalo’s song, Tinokutendai Baba.

“My heart is for worship experiences to be free.  Yes, I understand that there is a cost to holding events of such magnitude but my hope and prayer is that the worshiper just needs to come and enter into the presence of God without paying anything and our great God will raise people who will work behind the scenes to bear the cost.”

The Revival Time singer is keen to make the “Worship Night” concert an annual event.

“This year’s worship event marks the beginning of many such events that we will hold where we will not charge at the gate,” he said.

“At this year’s event, we have my friends, Pastor G and Pastor Prince Mafukidze both of whom need no introduction. They are part of a crop of worshipers who have been carrying the torch for not just excellent music and artistry but passionate worship.

“We also have Janet Manyowa with whom I collaborated on the single Amazing God as well as the Sunshine City Choir, A Thousand Voices, New Life Covenant Praise Team, Eugene Nyathi, and Chipo Dorothy Madamba.”

Manyame, who has produced albums like Revival Time, Thula Moya, Jerusalem, Ndiri Mufambi (I am a Pilgrim), Oh Hallelujah and SizofikaEzulwini, will hold a free worship seminar /workshop on Saturday morning at Rest Haven in Domboshawa.
