HARARE - A leading Zimbabwean football supporters’ body had postponed the Warriors fans’ bus trip to Cape Town, South Africa, to next Tuesday after supporters failed to raise the required $250 fee on time.
Nyaradzo Funeral Services this week donated a bus to transport fans intending to support the Warriors at the Chan finals, which begin at the weekend.
The fans were required to pay a $250 fee for accommodation and upkeep.
The postponement of the trip means the fan will now miss Sunday’s Group B opener against Morocco.
The fee has now been reduced to $125 and the traveling fans will only be able to watch pool ties against Uganda and Burkina Faso.
“We have also approached football’s sponsors of choice, Mbada Diamonds Company, to come to our assistance,” said supporters’ representative Simeon Jamanda yesterday.
