HARARE - Orchestra Dendera front man Suluman Chimbetu and legendary musician Oliver Mtukudzi are set to tour the United Kingdom end of next month.
Dubbed ‘The Greatest Hits Tour’ the showcase being organised by a United Kingdom-based music promoter Y2K, will run for a week.
Suluman confirmed the impending tour to the Daily News.
“Next month we will be rocking fans in the United Kingdom with Mtukudzi. We are going to spend a week there,” said the Batai Munhu hit-maker.
Y2K promoters said fans are looking forward to the collaboration between Suluman and Tuku.
One of the tour’s organisers Fredrick Matenga said: “Preparations are almost complete, we are receiving calls from fans who want to buy tickets.”
Suluman is confident after his last purported tour of the UK hit a brick wall in 2006 after dealing with a dubious music promoter.
“I trust these promoters (Y2K) and they are renowned in the music circles for their professionalism,” said Suluman who will be travelling with his full band.
