HARARE - President Robert Mugabe has assented to two budget bills that will operationalise the 2014 spending plan and new taxes announced by Finance and Economic Development minister Patrick Chinamasa in the $3,6 billion 2014 National Budget.
In a general notice contained in the latest Government Gazette, it notifies that the president has assented to the Finance Act and the Appropriation Act.
The Finance Act provides for the collection of tax on the exportation of raw hides and platinum capital gains tax which were announced in the budget presented on December 19 last year.
The Appropriation Act allocates money to the different ministries.
