HARARE - Celebrations to mark Red Fox’s fourth anniversary will continue throughout this weekend.

The anniversary celebrations, which are not only restricted to Harare, will be held at King Solomons Night Club in Kwekwe tonight before the party moves over to Red Fox Je-taime Night Club in Glen Norah A tomorrow.

On Sunday, celebrations will feature visiting Kenyan group Black Supremacy who will share the stage with Red Fox Sound at Red Fox Je-taime Night Club. There will be guest performances by Soul Jah Love, Jiggaz and Guspy Warrior.

Township vibes at Mistys

Tonight Tanga Wekwa Sando will deliver high-energy South African Township jazz fused with Zimbabwean soul and funk at Mistys.

Book Café serves reggae, mbira

To honour the country’s independence, the Book Café will host an Independence Mbira bash tonight called Bira Rerusunguko that will feature Nyamasvisva backed by Mawungira eNharira, Vibe Culture, James Mujuru and Nzombe Huru.

Tomorrow the entertainment programme at the venue will kick off with a Reggae Sundowner featuring Lady Thanda, Potato and Yagga before Transit Crew takes over on the main stage later in the night.

‘Freedom night’ at Maestro

Today, radio DJs, DJ Tat and Dj Eskay together with club wheel-spinners L-Roy and Reverb 7 descend on Maestro in Newlands in an independence gig dubbed “Freedom Night: A tribute to Frankie Knuckles”.

Old skool reunion at Spillway Restaurant

United Kingdom-based Kelvin ‘Soul Supreme’ Sifelani will entertain revellers on Saturday at Spillway along with the celebrated Otis ‘The Flow’ Fraser and Kimble ‘Double K’ Rogers.
