HARARE - Dynamos yesterday paid the price for wastefulness prompting coach Callisto Pasuwa to rue his blunt strikeforce again after watching his side lose 1-0 to Buffaloes.
Roy Mwenga scored the only goal to hand DeMbare’s second consecutive defeat. On Thursday Dynamos also suffered a 1-0 loss to league returnees Chapungu.
The goal was Buffaloes’s first serious attempt at having played second fiddle to Dynamos, who had dominated for the better part of the game but failed to turn their dominance into goals.
“It’s a game of chances, we failed to utilize our chances and Buffaloes get their chance and managed to use it,” Pasuwa said after the match.
“We are getting there in terms of attacking but we are failing to convert our chances.
“It’s bad for our club we are club we are going to sit down and correct our mistakes mainly the upfront department.”
Buffaloes coach Luke Masomere praised his players.
“We are playing well I want to thank my boys for a good game, we managed to collect maximum points against Harare City and now Dynamos, I’m delighted.”
During the first minutes of the game Buffaloes were pinned in their own half but their back four stood firm, with their goal keeper Blessing Mwandimutsira impressive.
Dynamos striker Washington Pakamisa was the chief culprit as he blew a couple of good chances that could have given his side some breathing space during the first half.
Despite Dynamos’ bright start, the army side had the ball in the back of the net a minute into half time added time after Mwenga headed in Moses Gutu’s corner.
After the breather the tempo had increased slightly but Dynamos continued to waste chances.
