HARARE - Technosphere shot to the top of the Southern Region Division Soccer League table courtesy of an away goalless draw against Portland Cement over the weekend.
The log leaders disposed Ntabazintuna, who had topped the log standings prior to Technosphere’s game in hand fixture that ended in stalemate against the league debutants.
The Hwange-based outfit now lead the log standing with 26 points, one above Ntabazinduna.
Meanwhile, The World Navi Northern Region Soccer League Division One championship race continues to be a ding-dong affair with former Premiership side Gunners wresting the top spot from highflying Bindura United.
Gunners assumed leadership after beating Royal Classics 3-0 to move to 34 points from 15 games.
The 2009 Zimbabwean champions took full advantage of last week log leaders Bindura United’s goalless draw against Flame Lilly.
With the draw, Bindura moved to second position with 33 points, one behind Gunners.
Gunners started their campaign this season on a positive note, winning ten games, drawing four and losing only one.
Flame Lilly remained in third position with 31 points.
Former log leaders Mushowani’s revival was cut shot after they went down to Ngezi Platinum.
However the Mashonaland Central based side remains on fourth position with 29 points despite the defeat.
Mushowani proved to be a force to reckon in their debut campaign last season and were one of the firm favourites to clinch promotion into the Premiership this season. However, they have been blowing hot and cold in recent matches.
In the Zifa Central Region Division One Soccer League, Whawha stayed on top of the log despite suffering a 2-1 loss at the hands of ZRP Beitbridge.
The prison service side is now one point above second-placed Tongogara.
Mutare City Rovers took over the Zifa Eastern Region leadership after beating Gutu 1-0.
