KADOMA - Dynamos coach Calisto Pasuwa slammed the state of the turf at Rimuka Stadium after watching his team being held to a goalless draw by Black Rhinos in a Castle Premiership match yesterday.

Last year, Dynamos were also held to a nil-all draw here by Rhinos after launching wave after wave of attack against the soldiers.

The script was the same yesterday as Pasuwa’s men failed to break Rhinos despite being the better side for much of the match.

“Our passing game was affected by the bumpy pitch, forcing us to bypass the midfield,” said the three-time title-winning gaffer.

“We have to keep our heads high and plan for our next assignment.”

His opposite number, Jostein Mathuthu, welcomed the draw.

“It’s a good result considering that when you are playing Dynamos it’s like you are playing against the nation. They have many supporters and it was all odds against us. A draw is a good result for us,” said Mathuthu.

Rhinos started the match brightly, controlling the midfield, with Douglas Mbewe and Stephen Matsangaise winning the bulk of possession.

Rhinos continued to enjoy a lot of possession in the midfield but could not create goal scoring opportunities.

Dynamos forced their way back into the match as the game progressed with Tafadzwa Rusike initiating most of the attacks.

DeMbare accelerated their attack forcing five corner kicks in the last 15 minutes of the first half.

Rodreck Mutuma and Simba Sithole came close but lacked bite upfront.

After the breather, Rhinos seized control of the game once again.

Dynamos’ midfield crumbled with the usually reliable Stephen Alimenda off-colour while Rusike was tiring and Ronald Chitiyo kept losing possession.
