HARARE - Dendera musician Suluman Chimbetu is set to share the stage with high riding Ninja President Winky D on Saturday at the Private Lounge in Harare.
The event promoter, Biggie Chinoperekwei told the Daily News that the potentially explosive concert is one of a kind.
“The gig is meant to cater for both dancehall and sungura-loving fans in the country,” Chinoperekwei said.
“Winky D is representing the youths while Chimbetu is for the mature crowd.” The show will provide added exposure to both artistes’ talent, music as well as expand the artistes’ fan
base.
Chimbetu’s publicist Joe Nyamungoma said Orchestra Dendera Kings will as usual give fans value for their money.
“As a band we are always ready to give our fans what they deserve, and in fact we are equally happy to share the stage with one of the talented musicians in the country, Winky D,” Nyamungoma said.
He said fans should expect old dendera hits such as Ndarangarira Gamba from Sulu.
“We commemorate the late dendera supremo Simon in August every year hence fans should be geared to listen to Simon’s all-time hits that include Ndarangarira Gamba, One Way and Samatenga among others from Sulu,” he said.
