'Change happens when women come together'

LONDON - I have been travelling a lot the last few weeks and I have been overwhelmed with the amount of knowledge that I have obtained.

Learning empowers a person, more so meeting women of the same calibre as myself makes me understand better the full impact that women can have when they come together.

Women are connectors. They engage each other heart to heart. When women dream together, the outcomes are so much bigger than from their individual dreams and movements.

The truth is, you are already making a difference, whether you know it or not. And the more you understand the difference you are making, the bigger it becomes.

I love it when women dream because of the energy that comes in voicing those dreams.

Big dreams, even with small groups of women can literally change the world. It doesn’t take much before my heart connects with other women around the world.

More than anything else, I’m drawn to women who dare make a difference in the world.

Women have a unique approach to effecting change because they’re dreamers, and they have special abilities to cooperate with each other. That’s why I try to help women heighten their awareness of their unique gifts and stimulate their dreams so that they can become more powerful and experience a deeply fulfilling role.

I could not fully express my joy when I learnt that finally four very popular UK-based fashion bloggers were coming together for collaboration.

I write a lot about the power of collaboration, so to finally see four women from diverse backgrounds and different styles come together as one, was very exciting.

I have always felt that if Zimbabwean bloggers worked together, it would create more positive results within our fashion industry.

The idea behind this collaboration was a testament that “the idea of women not being able to work together was simply false.” One just has to attach themselves to an individual or a group of women who have the same vision. When you share the same vision, the foundation is already set.

Cynthia Moyo, a representative of the bloggers, told 263 Voices that the idea behind the meeting was based on finding a way “to support each other in what we did and to find a united way to offer more to our community and raise the Zimbabwean fashion industry to the next level’’.

Through such a joint collaboration, not only are they pulling their supporters  together as a united fashion-loving community, but they are also offering a selection of fashion and style.

The ladies realise that as individuals they cannot please everyone and by working together their followers now have a wider range of styles to view. Their hope is this collaboration is the beginning of many and will encourage a spirit of unity and love amongst Zimbabweans on social media.

“It is apparent that a sense of competition is expected amongst us as we do the same thing but there is truly enough success and opportunities for everyone especially when we support each other and this is what we encourage,’’ said Cynthia.

I am so excited to see the outcome of this newly-created power house. The relevance can potentially change blogging for many.

I hope this is not only the beginning of a life-long friendship but also the start of many future fashion collaborations together and business ventures that will boost the Zimbabwean community.

There is definitely an exciting future ahead for them.
